Kilimanjaro is one of the most spectacular sights to see not just in Tanzania but quite possibly in the whole of Africa . At an almighty 5895 m it is the tallest mountain in Africa (not surprisingly nicknamed the “Roof of Africa ”) and is the tallest free standing mountain in the world that can be climbed freely without the need for technical equipment. Ice capped all year round it is in fact a dormant (but not extinct!) volcano.

We offer all routes for Kilimanjaro. Machame and Marangu are considered to be the easiest with high completion rates. The only draw back with these routes is that they are the main ones used by most tour companies and so have high levels of traffic. Both of these routes are about 100kms in total.

The Machame route is based on tented accommodation and is a 6-7 days trek, where as the Marangu route is based on hut accommodation (hut accommodation is on a communal dormitory basis with washing facilities) and is a 6-7 day trek.
